The Accomplishments of the Oscar Wanje Foundation
Oscar Wanje Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and giving back to the community in Kenya. The foundation has achieved numerous accomplishments in its mission to improve the lives of those in need.
One of the foundation's key accomplishments is the distribution of Oxford Geometrical Sets to all Ganda Ward Primary Schools. This initiative has helped to provide students with the necessary tools to excel in their education.
The foundation has also facilitated electricity connections at Mshongoleni Dispensary and KwaUpanga Group, which had previously stalled due to lack of funds. This has enabled these facilities to operate more effectively and provide better services to the community.
In response to an appeal for more classrooms at Maziwani Primary School, the foundation donated 100 Iron Sheets, providing much-needed shelter for students who were previously learning outside in bad weather. Similarly, the foundation issued desks at KwaUpanga Primary School after an outcry of students sitting on the floor disrupting their learning.
Another notable accomplishment of the foundation is the facilitation of NHIF issuance to the less vulnerable and elderly in the society. To date, the foundation has touched at least 100 people, ensuring they have access to vital healthcare services.
In addition, the foundation has donated tents to boda boda stages and Market women for shelter during hot/sunny hustling times, addressing a critical need in the community. The foundation has also facilitated the creation of a Community toilet at Msabaha Area, providing a crucial amenity to an underserved area.
Finally, the foundation has empowered women groups with bakery machines to boost their income, helping them to become more self-sufficient and improve their economic prospects.
Overall, the Oscar Wanje Foundation has made significant strides in improving the lives of those in need in Kenya. Through its various initiatives, the foundation has shown a commitment to empowering the community and providing critical resources and services to those who need them most.
